Monk Iakovos med signalen SV2RSG/A verksam i klostret Koutloumousiou är, vad jag erfar, ensam aktiv radioamatör från DXCC-landet Mount Athos – Athosberget, en halvö i östra Grekland. Det är mycket svårt att få tillstånd för amatörradio av ”myndigheterna” på Athos, enligt uppgift skall det finnas fem andra radioamatörer i de olika klostren men ingen av dessa är aktiv. I 20-talet år var den välkände Apollo SV2ASP/A, tyvärr SK sedan några år, den ende som hade tillstånd.
SV2RSG/A dyker upp lite då och då på banden, främst 20m CW, senaste aktiviteten var av DX-clustret att döma den 30 maj. Det har inte fungerat så bra med QSL-hanteringen och idag kom följande från SV1RP:
