CW-lite av G8DNH

”Hello Eric,

I’ve just seen your DXcluster spot for II0WWA on 40m.

In recent months, I have been looking closely at CW spots, and needed
a better tool to help me pick out DX and other interesting stations.

I have written a script and have put it on a website, cwlite.net

It is intended for phones/mobile devices, but is also useful in a
small window on the shack computer.

You are welcome to share it.

Just a small contribution, helping to keep CW on the air.

USER GUIDE…

CWlite is a list of the most interesting CW on the air, updated
minute by minute.

Callsigns are prioritised by their DXCC-Most-Wanted rating. Only the
’most interesting’ CALLS are presented. The selection is based on
MostWanted and Age (rare DX could be held for 10-15mins if little
else is available). Newly spotted Calls join the list within a
minute. There are wider selection criteria when it is quiet,
including stations working portable or events.

If you are away from the shack, a quick check will help you decide –
shack or shopping? Just arriving at the shack, it helps you get a
feel of what is about. Spending time in the shack, CWlite functions
as an alert when interesting stations come up.

The display is CALLS, not individual spots, and in alpabetical order
– if you are watching for particular DX, it will come up in a
predictable place in the list. Deliberately minimal HTML for
low-bandwidth data transfers. Auto-refreshes minute by minute.

LINKS – everything is clickable:

Freq=>  DXLite (skimmer spots).
Country=> QRZ.

CALL SUFFIXES –
CALL=  self-spotted (esp. for DXpeds, useful info in spot text)
CALLâ—¦  human spotter (cf skimmers).
CALL.  might also be interesting (SES, QRP, out-of-shack, YOTA,…)
